All rules were meant to be broken A/n: I have a few things to say to the people who have been reviewing this so that people don't say those things over and over again and I don't have to listen to that *hit. Number one: There Is absolutely NO PROOF WHATSOEVER that Harry and Hermione will get together. Oh, sure, they hugged ONCE, LET ME REPEAT ONCE in the first book, but that DOES NOT mean that now they are forever devoted to each other and could not be happy without one another. My second thing: For all you in favor of Harry/Cho Chang or Harry/Ginny, good for you! Three: If you have something bad to say about my fic, it's MY FIC. LET ME REPEAT, MY FIC, MINE! NOT YOURS! I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT. I COULD MAKE HAGRID SAY VOLDEMORT! I COULD MAKE SNAPE GO OUT W/MCGONAGALL (BUT DON'T WORRY, I WON'T) THE POINT IS, IT'S MY FIC AND I GET TO DECIDE WHAT HAPPENS, NOT YOU! GOT IT! NOW PLEASE STOP SENDING ME REVEIWS THAT SAY THERE IS NO WAY THIS COULD HASPPEN. DUH! I KNOW THAT! THAT'S WHY IT'S A FANFICTION! IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN FOR REAL! AND AS FOR ALL THOSE IN FAVOR OF HARRY/HERMIONE, DEAD, FESTERING, ROTTING ANIMAGI RATS ON YOU. AND IF YOU'VE READ THE THIRD BOOK, YOU KNOW THAT IS A BAD INSULT. Disclaimer: None of these characters belong to me except for Stormy Waters, Cassiopeia Cambury, Hope Rapczak, Lizzy Anderson, Rose Black, James Black and all of the Slytherin Quidditch team except for Draco Malfoy. PS Copyright to Cassiopeia Cambury is shared with Kiri Cutts who is our resident lunatic. (She asked me to put that!) Jan. 6, 2000 4:30 PM "Hi, Draco!" Rose Black said sweetly after she stepped out of the coach. "Hi Rose," Draco Malfoy replied without looking up. His voice was very monotones; as if bored. "Rose, Draco and I have stuff to do," a girl stepped out of the next coach. She had black wavy hair down to her waist and blue eyes which glared hatefully at Rose behind cat-eye shaped glasses which complimented her look. "Besides, you know better than to try to flirt with my boyfriend It could be hazardous to your health!" "Alright, Miss Riddle. I'll go, but after I ask Draco something," she took him aside and whispered something in his ear. His face grew red and then, he growled and stomped back to the dark haired girl. "You told her, Draco! How could you?!" she asked. "Stormy, I swear I didn't! Besides I know something that would upset you more," Draco paused and shifted his weight from one foot to the other. "Out with it!" "She asked me out," Draco answered and quickly added, " I refused of course." "Of course you did! Why in the world would you go out with Rose Black?! She's a rat! She only wants to go out with you so she can boast about it!" Stormy didn't bother hiding her anger while scoffing at Rose. "She doesn't deserve to be in Slytherin!" "Stormy that's awfully harsh," Hermione Granger walked over to where Stormy and Draco were standing. "No one asked you, mudblood!" she replied. A black haired boy with green eyes and a red headed boy with lots of freckles stepped up behind Hermione. "Watch your mouth Waters," Ron Weasley said and drew his wand. Stormy snapped her fingers. Her wand appeared in her hand and Draco returned from wherever he had gone with two very large boys following, Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle. "You were saying, Weasley?" Stormy replied, flashing the three Gryffindors a smile worthy of Salazar Slytherin himself. "Come on, Ron," Harry Potter said, pulling Ron away. "See, I told you they're chickens. You guys owe me two Galleons each," Draco said to Crabbe and Goyle. "Oh yeah, Malfoy?" Harry turned to face Draco. "Yeah, Potter," Draco replied. "Who chickened out in the Forbidden Forest in our first year?" Harry retorted. Draco narrowed his eyes and walked away. "You'll pay for this, Potter!" Stormy told him before she followed Draco. ************************************************************************* Jan. 31, 2000 10:00 AM "Go on, I have to find your birthday present," Stormy said pushing Draco away and walking towards Quality Quidditch. he gave her a very sad look and she walked back kissed him on the check. "will you go now?" "Yeah. I'll meet you when we get back to Hogwarts," he said running toward Honeydukes. Stormy entered quality Quidditch and looked around. She walked through the aisles and found what she wanted. She backed up to look for a green one, but bumped into someone and fell. She looked up to see who she had bumped into. "Here, let me help you," Harry held out his hand. She hesitated. "No one'll see," he said. She assumed he had meant her fall. 'I know what Draco would do if he saw you accepting help from a Gryffindor, but no one's here." She took his hand and he helped her to her feet. "Thanks," she said. "I'm Stormy Waters, and yes, Draco and I are dating." "Harry Potter, which you probably already guessed," he held out his hand. She shook it. "Do you want to go get some butter beer to help you get over that fall?" he asked. "Sure," Stormy replied and they walked out of Quality Quidditch towards the Three Broomsticks. Stormy had forgotten about Draco's present; she had forgotten he even existed, she had forgotten everything but Harry Potter. And Harry could think of nothing but Stormy Waters. ************************************************************************* 6:00 PM "Harry, I'm sorry about the other day," Stormy said, watching the sun set. "And, well, thanks for a wonderful day." "Don't mention it," Harry replied. "Ummm, there's this Valentine's Day Dance going on in two weeks...would you like to go?" he looked at her. "I know we only just met but-" "Shhh," Stormy said and kissed him. "I know exactly how you feel." "What about Draco?" Harry asked a few minutes later. "Rose can have him for all I care," Stormy replied. "Now I really know what they mean by love at first sight!" Harry smiled at her, returned the kiss and stood up. He held out his hand to help her up again. They walked back to the bus hand in hand. ******************************************************************* 9:00 PM "You're going out with WHO?!" Draco yelled. "Harry Potter," Stormy replied calmly. She had known Draco would react this way and had prepared herself for it. "And Draco, I don't care what you think! I think he's perfect! Goodbye!" and she walked away leaving Draco to boil before he asked Rose on a date. 9:00 PM "You're going to the dance with WHO?!" Ron shrieked. "Stormy Waters," Harry replied coolly. "Ron, I really don't care what you think. She may be a Slytherin, but she has the heart of a Gryfinndor. I repeat: I don't care what you think. I'm just warning you." "What will Hermione say?" Ron asked while trying to compose himself again. "I don't know and I DON'T care!" "Well, you're going to find out!" Ron said and started to leave. "Bye! I hate to see blood flow!" *************************************************************************** A snowy owl landed on the windowsill and screeched. Stormy looked up and walked over to her. "I wonder whose owl? Hmmm. Thank you," she turned, but the owl had gone. She opened the letter. It read: Dear Stormy, I can't wait to see you at the dance. I'll meet you in the DADA classroom at 6:30 **** Harry PS My owl is Hedwig. The sign off had been crossed off and Stormy knew what it had said; Love, Harry. She smiled at herself as she picked up a quill and sat down to write: Dear Harry, I will be there on Valentine's Day at 6:30. My owl is Andromeda. Love, Stormy PS Draco completely blew up. "Andromeda!" she called. A beautiful snowy owl flew over. Stormy handed her the letter and took her to the window. Andromeda flew out and over the castle turrets. ******************************************************************** Harry walked to the window as soon as he saw Hedwig. She landed on his outstretched arm. He started to close the window, but another snowy owl flew in. She was smaller than Hedwig and lighter. She was also holding a letter and Harry took it from her. He read it over, took out paper and a quill and quickly wrote: See you soon! He gave it to the owl. "Thank you, Andromeda," he said and closed the window after her. ****************************************************************** 6:30 PM Feb 14, 2000 Stormy tapped her foot lightly and tugged on her sash impatiently. The door opened and her heart leapt, then plummeted to the ground. Professor Lupin walked in and started shuffling papers in his desk. He didn't seem to notice Stormy at first, but then he suddenly looked up, tense, saw Stormy and relaxed. "Oh, hello Stormy," he said and smiled. "Hi Professor Lupin," she replied. "I'm just waiting for Harry. I assume you know who I mean." Professor Lupin chuckled slightly and said; "I never thought I'd see the day when you went out with a Gryfinndor." "We met in Hogsmeade and it was literally love at first sight," Stormy sighed. The door opened again and Harry stepped into the room. "Hi Professor Lupin," he said and grabbed Stormy's arm and pulled her out the door into the hall. "Have a good time at the dance!" Professor Lupin called after them. Once they were in the hall, Harry took her aside and kissed her. "I've been waiting all week to do that," he smiled and they walked down to the great hall for the dance. 6:45 Nothing much happened at the dance. The usual stuff; chatting with Hope from Ravenclaw, Lizzy from Gryfinndor, Zinna from Hufflepuff, Cassiopeia from Slytherin, eating plates finger food and drinking punch, listening to music and, of course, dancing. When Draco first saw Stormy dancing with Harry, he stalked over, grabbed Stormy's arm and attempted to pull her away, but she slapped him and marched back to Harry, who was as surprised as Draco. "Let's go outside," Stormy said, hoping to escape all the stares. "OK," Harry replied and followed her out. 7:20 PM "It's cold out here," Stormy said shivering. Harry put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer. "That better?" "Much. Harry?" she looked up at him. "Hmmm?" "I have something to tell you, but it's a secret." "Then maybe you shouldn't tell me," he started to laugh at his joke, but Stormy's serious look made him stop. "What is it?" "V-Voldemort is my grandfather," she whispered. "He...what?" Harry croaked. "O-of course I understand if you hate me but," her voice faltered. "Harry, you're the best thing that ever happened to me and.... I hate him! I hate what he did! He never did one good thing in his life!" She started to cry. "Shhh, shhh," Harry led her to a bench under a willow tree to sit down, then sat down beside her. "And you probably hate me, don't you?" her hair had fallen in her face and gotten soaked with tears. "Why should I hate you? I love you Stormy," he pushed her chin up so they were looking into each other's eyes. He took her glasses, which were also wet with tears, and wiped them off. He waited until Stormy had finished crying and then gave them back to her. "Thank you. I'm so sorry Harry. But you don't know the worst of it. M-my real last name is Riddle. And it's just so hard, he's been trying to train me in the Dark Arts, but I don't want any of it!" Harry just kissed her, a long, sweet kiss, in answer. ********************************************************************** 7:40 PM "So...what's he like?" Harry asked. "He's just...horrible!" Stormy replied. "How did he try to teach you the Dark Arts?" "My mother was killed after she told me I was a witch. Tom killed them because my dad went to the good side. My father was Tom's son, Salazar Riddle. Tom got custody and I went to live at Eville Mansion on Slytherin Hill. It was OK until I was getting ready to go to Hogwarts. He told me that if I ended up as the only Slytherin who wasn't in Slytherin, he would never forgive me. When I came home from the first Christmas hols, he forbade me to talk to any Gryfinndor unless I was insulting them. That summer, he started to teach me the Dark Arts." Stormy held up her hand and a black burning fireball appeared in the center. "This could destroy anyone who touched it but me." she flicked her hand and the fireball was gone. "So you call him Tom, or what?" Harry urged. "You're never satisfied are you? Yes, I call him Tom. He wouldn't let me call him anything else. I called him grandfather once, Jesus! I learned never to do THAT again!" They both laughed. "You ready to go walk again, or do you want to go back to the dance?" Harry asked standing up. He reached down to help her up. Once he had her hand, her pulled her up, spun her into a dip and kissed her. "Harry, you nut! Let's go walk by the fountain," Stormy replied laughing. They wandered in the garden until they found the fountain. They were about to sit down, when it shot a stream of water at them, soaking their clothes. Stormy screamed and Harry grabbed her and pulled her away from the fountain. Their clothes were ruined. stormy was stomping around and looking behind bushes and trees, her face as red as Uncle Vernon's when he was mad and her sash splashing water after her. "What are you doing?!" Harry asked, trying to ring out the water in his tux jacket. "Someone enchanted that fountain and I'm going to find out who!" she looked behind one last bush and gasped at what she saw. Hermione Granger, wand in hand was sitting behind a bush, laughing as much as Sirius Black had the day they took him to Azkaban. Harry pushed past Stormy who was standing perfectly still, mouth hanging open, dress dripping water, face bright red and eyes narrowed. "Hermione!" Hermione stopped laughing and saw Harry. She dropped her wand. "Hermione! Why you-! How DARE you! You totally ruined our date! And this isn't my tux, it's Sirius's! Believe me, McGonagall will hear of this! Come on, Stormy!" Harry grabbed her hand and they stomped back to the castle. ******************************************************************* Stormy, Are you practicing? You'd better be! How are you and Draco doing? Lucius loves to the idea of you two together. The two families will be united. The car will be waiting for you as usual. Help Slytherin win the Quidditch and house cups. Tom Tom, I AM practicing. Draco and I broke up. I'm going out with Harry Potter. Stormy Voldemort kicked over a table in Eville Mansion. Going out with Harry Potter?! How could she?! How dare she?! How...no, wait. This could be his key to destroying Harry Potter! Stormy, That's great! the Malfoys are no accounts. Lucius and I had collective differences. I want you home for the Easter hols. We need to talk. Tom Tom, I'm glad it's OK that Harry and I are in love and dating, because I wasn't about to break up with him. You're right, the Malfoys ARE losers. ESPECIALLY Draco! Stormy Stormy, Don't give me that crap! Tom Tom, Don't YOU give me THAT crap! we both know I'm more powerful than you! I also know more curses and I picked up on this black fireball thing that destroys anything it touches! Stormy *************************************************************************** May 26, 2000 4:00 PM "Go Slytherin!" and "Lions for the cup!" were some of the cries at the Quidditch Championship Game between Gryffindor and Slytherin. "All right team! We need to win this game. It could make or break my whole Quidditch career," Draco Malfoy said pacing up and down in front of beaters Rose Black and Cassiopeia Cambury, chasers Betty Gapyr, Lancelot Greener and Marc Killamo and seeker Stormy Waters. "We know Draco! Now let's go play!" Stormy said and started out the door. 4:52 PM Stormy raced above the rest of the Quidditch game. She saw the snitch and dived toward it. Apparently, Harry had seen it too. They both raced at the same pace until Harry put on a burst of speed and got ahead. Just as Harry got to the snitch, a bludger flew out of no where. The bludger collided with the side of Stormy's head just as Harry grabbed the snitch, causing her to fall off her broom. Harry looked away from he cheering crowd just in time to see her drop 50 feet, knocked unconscious by the bludger. Harry released the snitch and flew after her, catching her just before she hit the ground. As soon as he had landed his broom, he tried to run over to a group of the teachers, but was stopped by a mob of cheering Gryffindors. "What are you cheering for?" he yelled over the noise. The only answer was, "We won, we won!" "Get out of the way!" Harry waded through the students to Professors McGonagall, Lupin, Snape, Dumbledore and Madam Pomfrey. All of the Professors started shooing off students while Madam Pomfrey checked the bump on Stormy's head where the bludger had hit her. Harry took her hand and said, "I won't let go until she wakes up." ************************************************************************ May 28, 2000 5:03 PM "H-harry?" Stormy said groggily as she sat up. "Stormy! You're awake! You're alive!" Harry was so excited that he jumped up, then remembered where he was. Instead, he kissed her cheek. "What happened?" she motioned for him to sit down. "A bludger hit your head and you fell off your broom and-" Harry was cut off by Madam Pomfrey. "And Harry caught you. When everyone was excited about winning the game, he didn't care. He just cared about getting you back here," she said as she gave Stormy some water and a couple of aspirin. "We thought you were dead! I told them I wouldn't let go of your hand until you woke up," he grinned sheepishly. "And you didn't," Stormy smiled at him, then swallowed the aspirin with a large gulp of water. "Sure," Harry let out another sheepish grin. "You woke up just in time for the final speech by Dumbledore. Today is the last day of school." "Professor Dumbledore said that if you woke up in time, you were to go," Madam Pomfrey told her. ************************************************************************** 5:05 PM "And so, I am proud to say that you all have successfully graduated. Congratulations!" A great wall of noise arose at Dumbledore's last word. He bowed and stepped off the stage. Everyone began to feast. Harry was not sitting at the table with the rest of the Gryffindors, but instead at the Slytherin table, hoping to be able to pull Stormy aside and ask her something alone. 7:45 PM Stormy threw her arms around Harry's neck and kissed him. They fell back onto the grass. "So what do you say?" Harry asked a few minutes later. "Did that kiss mean nothing to you?!" she exclaimed, then looked at Harry who was smiling. "We have to tell Tom. We'll tell him together tomorrow. We can tell Severus right now. After that, we'll tell Sirius." "You seem to have forgotten who Tom became and the fact that he hates me. Snape too. He's not going to want this to happen," Harry remarked. "They don't hate you. Tom thinks it's a great that we're together and Severus is really a sweetie once you get to know him. He knows that it's my life and I will kiss whoever I see fit," she reached over and kissed him again. Harry protested a little before finally giving in. They were laying on the grass kissing when Draco, Hermione, Cassiopeia and Ron found them 15 minutes later. Draco looked sick and rushed back up to the castle with his hands over his mouth. Hermione looked disgusted and turned away, but Ron and Cassiopeia both looked amused. "Having fun?" Ron asked. "Yeah, thanks," Harry answered and all but Hermione laughed. As they walked back up to the castle, Cassiopeia asked " So what were you doing before this escalated into the Kiss on the Grass Fest of 2000?" Hermione glared at Harry and Stormy and said "I'm not sure I even want to know," causing Harry to chase her away from the group. *************************************************************** May 29, 2000 12:00 PM "Tom, I'm home!" Stormy stepped in the door of Eville Mansion and beckoned for Harry to follow. "I have great news!" Tom walked in, took one look at Harry, blinked, looked again, looked at Stormy and said "What is he doing here?!" "We-" Stormy began. "Stormy, let's have a little chat, you, me and Severus, shall we?" Tom led her to a different room. "I'll be right back Harry," she closed the door. ************************************************************************ June 1, 2000 2:00 PM there was a slight noise at the window and Sirius went to open it. a snowy owl flew in, dropped a letter on his desk and flew back out. Sirius reached down and opened the letter. Dear Sirius, I know you don't like me very much, but you are my last hope. please don't throw this letter away before reading it. Tom has locked me up and done a spell to keep me from using my powers. I can't get out! Please tell harry that I am in the west of Eville Mansion and I will go to the window and look out at 6:00 PM on June 3. Please tell him. Since Tom locked me up, I have been unable to reach him and I find it a miracle that I was able to get a letter to you. Thank you so much. Sincerely, Stormy Riddle Sirius read the letter three times before reacting. "Harry!" he yelled. "He's outside dad!" James* yelled back. *Sirius named his son James. "Get him!" the urgency in Sirius's voice made Harry run faster than usual. He tripped halfway up the stairs. "You know where she is!" Harry panted. "Eville Mansion, west wing, 6:00, June third," Sirius replied. "Thanks," Harry ran back downstairs. Sirius shook his head and smiled. June 3, 2000 6:00 PM Stormy walked to the window and looked out. Harry was outside on his broom, wand in hand. "Alohomora," he whispered, then opened the window which had previously been locked. Stormy grabbed her backpack and climbed out the window onto Harry's broom. "Hey," Harry whispered. "Shh. Go now, talk later," Stormy replied. "I don't know how to thank you," Stormy said as soon as they were far away from Eville Mansion. "By marrying me," Harry smiled. Stormy kissed the back of his neck and rested her head on his shoulder. "Consider that a yes," she whispered in his ear. THE END!!!!!
